From $50 million to $250 million. The Las Vegas Aces' predecessors paid a $50 million expansion fee. Three years later, Cleveland, Detroit, and Philadelphia each paid $250 million — five times more — for the same right to exist. The market didn't grow. It detonated.



And the cameras followed the money. The league's media rights went from $2.2 billion to $3.1 billion in May 2026 — 6.5 times the prior deal, 216 national games. The same players the league once flew commercial are now the product networks bid billions for.
