The 2026 CBA's $1.4 million supermax is the first number designed to end that.

The math: a top WNBA player once doubled her $241,984 supermax with an overseas contract worth $1 million-plus, playing year-round with no offseason. The new deal keeps that talent home — and pays for the rest it was never given.
