From $4 million to $50 million. In 2023, the WNBA spent about $4 million on charter flights — a patchwork, fought over flight by flight. In May 2024, the league committed $50 million over two years for full-time charters. The money didn't follow the knees. It followed the cameras: ratings up, expansion fees exploding, a $3.1 billion media deal on the table.
